I teach a method of marketing that involves the creation of great content aimed at positioning you and your company as a valuable resource to your target market.

That is the “elevator speech” that I give to people to tell them what I do in 15 seconds or less.  But, now that I have more than 15 seconds, let me elaborate.

A Personal Computer

I remember my first personal computer — a Commodore 64 complete with floppy disk drive.  Today, my tiny iPhone has 100′s of times more computing power than that desktop machine had.

It truly is amazing how much power a personal computer now has.  You can produce high quality text, audio, video and images with ease.  Your personal computer can produce unbelievable multi-media content.

A Little Imagination

What will you do with the power afforded to you by your personal computer?  Seth Godin writes about creating “Purple Cows”, in other words, creating something that is truly remarkable.  This doesn’t mean that everything  you create has to be jaw dropping — but you should concentrate on creating quality content over simply a large quantity of content.

A Few Well-Placed Dollars

If you are going to market your micro business online you will need to spend some money.  We are not talking a ton of money here, but there will be times when you will have to shell out some green.

If you are going to start producing some video — you will need some kind of camera.  If you are going to start running a blog — you will need a domain name and hosting.  These things cost money.

But don’t worry — these purchases will not break the bank, when you market the way that I teach in my eBook, Tiny Business, Mighty Profits… you won’t be digging out that credit card often and when you do, it won’t cost you nearly what traditional marketing channels would cost.
