I remarked to a colleague the other day —
“I am standing at the edge of my own book — writing the next chapter.”
The authority, respect, power — whatever you want to call it — that I continue to gain from the type of marketing I am doing is staggering. Doors continue to open — and I am able to choose which I would like to walk through.
Writing blog posts, creating online video and speaking events have been the most effective activities — for me. These “vehicles” have helped me spread my message and have been the driving force behind every cent I have made in this business.
It is the only kind of marketing I do. I do not cold call. I simply continue to create value for others — and I am able to choose my own adventure.
If you want to learn more about this type of marketing, read this post. If you want the full story — get my free eBook in the upper right hand corner of this blog.
Your turn. What activities have opened doors for your business? What advice do you have for us that could help us choose our own adventure?

Russ, you know I can’t resist a post such as this one!
The power words here for me are : you choose.
The power question I ask is this: Do you wake up everyday and do WHAT you THINK you are EXPECTED to do? or do you wake up each day CHOOSING to EXPECT new opportunities, new doors opening, and the road to that new adventure that will be your next chapter in life?….
Choice …it’all about our choices.
Thanks for sharing.
Jennifer
@jennifer — thanks Jennifer — It’s really exciting when you realize that you do have the power to create the next chapter in your life rather than sitting passively and reading it —- hoping it gets better.
Jennifer,
You’ve hit the nail on the head here. Very powerful statement you have made here.
1. Your encouragement on relaunching my personal business blog.
2. Realizing my knowledge, experience, and abilities to accelerate my Life.
3. The benefits of being your own boss.
Those are probably the top 3 things that have truly inspired me in the last 6 months.
Nice post!
