Old School Social Media

The new stuff has its advantages, but don’t forget — this still works like a charm.

  1. Thanks for the reminder Russ!

I’m a big fan of hand written thank you cards however I’m finding that more business people are not publishing mailing addresses on their busniess cards or websites. Have you found that too?

  2. Wonderful!

    Thanks for the reminder, Russ.

Hand-in-glove with this “Old Idea” is to pick up the phone and CALL and TALK to someone rather than email or text!

  3. Absolutely Fred! Particularly when the message is complex or sensitive.

  4. Love! I started designing my own cards in my printing company to send to customers and then had the idea to give them away to our community… http://www.thanksfairbanks.com

  5. I love my iMac and I wouldn’t be without Word but I do love good old fashioned pen and paper for writing lists, sketching ideas and planning stuff. You just can’t beat it!

I fear that one day handwriting is going to become redundant :-( There’s nothing better than a handwritten message. I think it shows personality and proves that is was really you who wrote it. A great reminder thanks Russ.

    • My 6 year old son is learning to handwrite and I often wonder just how much of it he will do in his life. I rarely use a pen anymore but I have committed myself to writing more handwritten letters and it has been very well received.
