TweetFor those of us running micro-businesses and employing a content marketing strategy, you know that there is nothing more important than maintaining your blog. And, of course, there is no better blog platform than WordPress.
In this short post, I would like to put a “plug” in for a plug-in called YARPP or Yet Another Related Posts Plug-in. ‘
There are many related posts plug-ins available for WordPress. Each one does basically the same thing; they show the reader links to posts that are related to the one that they just finished reading.
Here is a screenshot of what the YARPP plug-in places at the end of your post.
Firstly, this is extremely helpful to your readers. When they reach the end of your post it is convenient for them to find additionaly posts that follow the same subject matter. You will definitely see your Average Time On Site statistic climb after installing this plug-in.
You can see that there is a number next to each of the related posts. Only the site administrator will see this, other visitors to the site will not see this number. The number is a score that indicates just how related the suggested post is. The higher the number the more related the post.
And, of course the plug-in will list the most similar post first in the list of related posts.
