Twitter is no longer an obscure social medium… it has certainly gone mainstream. You can hardly listen to any radio program or read a blog without seeing a mention of Twitter. It has arrived.
I started using Twitter in 2007 and then stopped because I didn’t see the sense in it. I started back up in early 2008 because I began to read more and more about the benefits of reaching your target market on Twitter. I am now a Twitter believer.
Twitter is a marketing channel just like television, direct mail or an internet address. It is a means to communicate your message in bite sized (140 character) posts.
Just like anything else, you will get out of Twitter what you put into it. Devote some time to it and reap the benefits — it’s not just for tech geeks any more.
